Welcome to the first My Life With Creativity blog post! It’s been my dream for quite some time to start a blog but indecision on content kept the idea dormant. Now that the snow is finally melting, Spring, as well as my blog is coming alive. When my talented, Cambridge School of Culinary Arts trained nephew Chris started his latest blog, My Life With Food, I was inspired and decided. I like to cook and eat but I love to be creative in a myriad of ways. Creativity is my life passion.

Ironically, it seemed utterly uncreative to mirror Chris’s blog title, yet “My Life With” so accurately encompassed the breadth of what I wanted to share about creativity. Chris and I chatted. He was pleased to be an inspiration, gave me his blessing to use the slightly altered title and now we are a blogging family with similarly veined passions we’re disseminating to the world.

Reading my “About” page you’ll get a thumbnail accounting of the countless ways creativity

has filled my life. Future posts will come as an assortment of creative topics. The sky’s the limit, really. Creativity isn’t always a heavy time investment or grandiose occurrence. Sometimes it’s simply a spontaneous vision like the use of an object in an unexpected place. Other times it’s a well-thought out scheme that takes planning and multiple steps to achieve. Then again, it may be a little story telling or perhaps a poem or prose that begs to be shared. Creativity comes in many guises, so stay tuned – there’s no telling what might show up.

I’m excited to be here, at last, sharing My Life With Creativity with you! It’s the kind of

excitement that wakes me up thinking in those wee morning hours when more beauty rest would do me some good. Ideas pop into my head about what to share and stopping the train of thought is near impossible. It’s exhilarating and a great reason to keep that pad and pen on my night stand alongside the bed. I hope you find reasons to be inspired and excited as well as you follow along.

This quote that showed up in my email the other day from Values.com, perfectly conveys what I hope will be the outcome of sharing My Life With Creativity with you.
